Approve by motion the reinstatement of Ann Anderson to the position of Police Telecommunicator II, regular status.

DISCUSSION

 

Ann Anderson voluntarily resigned in good standing as a Police Telecommunicator II in the Police Department on August 5, 2023.  On February 26, 2024, Ms. Anderson submitted a request to be reinstated as a Police Telecommunicator II (Attachment A). There is a current full-time vacancy in this classification in the Police Department and the Director of Human Resources has authorized filling this vacancy (Attachment B).

 

AUTHORITY

 

Rule VII, section 7(a) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees provides that a regular employee who has resigned in good standing may be reinstated to a vacant position of the same class within a period of two (2) years from the effective date.
