DISCUSSION
The Fire Prevention Inspector I (Open/Promotional) eligibility list was established on June 16, 2023, with 33 names on the list. There are 29 eligible names remaining on the list. At this time, we are asking for a one-year extension.
It is the practice of the Civil Service Commission to extend eligibility lists, unless the Personnel Officer recommends that such lists be abolished for reasons consistent with the principles of merit and good personnel administration.
Having received no objections to the extension, the Fire Prevention Inspector I (Open/Promotional), with 29 eligible names remaining on the list, will be extended for one year, to be effective from June 16, 2024, to June 16, 2025.
AUTHORITY
In accordance with Rule VI, Section 12 (b) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees - the period of eligibility for appointment from eligible lists shall be at the discretion of the Civil Service Commission but shall not exceed three (3) years.
