Approve by resolution the reinstatement of Darrell Mace to the position of Water Systems Operator, regular status.

DISCUSSION

 

Mr. Mace voluntarily resigned in good standing as a Water Systems Operator in the Municipal Utilities Department on June 24, 2023. On January 22, 2024, Mr. Mace submitted a request to be reinstated as a Water Systems Operator (Attachment A). There is a current full-time vacancy in this classification in the Municipal Utilities Department and the Director of Human Resources has authorized filling this vacancy (Attachment B).

 

AUTHORITY

 

Rule VII, section 7(a) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees provides that a regular employee who has resigned in good standing may be reinstated to a vacant position of the same class within a period of two (2) years from the effective date.
