RECOMMENDATION

 

Notice of the voluntary demotion of probationary Police Officer David La Barr to the position of Community Service Officer I, probationary status, effective December 30, 2018.

Summary

 

David La Barr was hired by the City of Stockton Police Department as a Police Officer Recruit on June 29, 2018.  He was promoted to Police Officer after graduating from the Police Academy on July 10, 2018.  David La Barr requested a voluntary demotion to the position of Community Service Officer I, effective December 30, 2018.  David had successfully completed six months of probation, and the Chief of Police recommended approval from the Human Resources Department for this voluntary demotion. David La Barr was qualified to fill this Miscellaneous classified service, and there was a Community Service Officer I vacancy in the Police Department.
