DISCUSSION

Background

The changes to this class specification are a result of a request by the Municipal Utilities Department. This specification was last updated on January 17, 2008.

Present Situation

Changes to the Plant Operator-In-Training class specification include updates to the other requirements, abilities, and the physical/mental abilities.

The draft class specification was provided to the Operating Engineers’ Local 3 (OE3) on March 6, 2018 for review and concurrence. On March 28, 2018, OE3 requested to meet and confer regarding the proposed changes. After meeting on March 29, 2018, OE3 had no objections to the proposed class specification amendments.
