Approve by motion the reinstatement of Peter Rodrigues to the position of Collection Systems Operator, regular status.

DISCUSSION
Mr. Rodrigues voluntarily resigned in good standing as a Collection Systems Operator in the Municipal Utilities Department on January 13, 2018. On February 28, 2018, Mr. Rodrigues submitted a request to be reinstated as a Collection Systems Operator. There is a current full-time vacancy in this classification in the Municipal Utilities Department and the City Manager has authorized filling this vacancy.
AUTHORITY
Rule VII, section 7(a) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees provides that a regular employee who has resigned in good standing may be reinstated to a vacant position of the same class within a period of two (2) years from the effective date.
