DISCUSSION

The examination for the position of Emergency Communication Dispatch Manager (Open/Promotional) was conducted in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees. This recruitment initially opened on January 27, 2017 and closed on February 16, 2017.  It was subsequently reopened on May 12, 2017 and closed on June 2, 2017 to obtain additional applicants. Human Resources received a total of 10 applications in these two recruitments, and a list with three eligibles was approved at the July 20, 2017 Civil Service Commission meeting. The Fire Department requested additional names to complement the names already received. A subsequent recruitment was opened on September 17, 2017 and closed on September 22, 2017. Five new applications were received through this re-opening.

Based on a training and experience review that was performed on September 28, 2017, you will receive detailed results of the examination. This information will include exhibits that list applicants receiving passing scores in rank order, and confidential applicant flow data worksheets for approval and adoption at your meeting of October 19, 2017.

AUTHORITY
