DISCUSSION
The examination for the position of Fire Protection Specialist (Open/Promotional) was conducted in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees. A previous recruitment for Fire Protection Specialist was conducted, and a list with four eligibles was approved at the May 19, 2017 Civil Service Commission meeting. The Fire Prevention Division requested additional names to complement the names already received. A subsequent recruitment was opened on July 23, 2017 and closed on August 31, 2017. Ten new applications were received through this re-opening.
Based on a training and experience review performed on September 27, 2017, you will receive detailed results of the examination, along with exhibits that list applicants receiving passing scores in rank order, and confidential applicant flow data worksheets for approval and adoption at your meeting of October 19, 2017.
AUTHORITY
Rule VI, section 12(a) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees provides that the Civil Service Commission shall certify the results of each examination conducted by other than continuous examination.
