Approve a motion to schedule a public hearing on May 18, 2017, to amend the Police Department Rules and Regulations Manual.

SUMMARY
The current Stockton Police Department Rules and Regulations Manual was adopted by the Civil Service Commission on December 6, 2001. The Chief of Police, Eric Jones, is requesting your review and consideration, as outlined in a memo dated April 3, 2017 (Attachment A), to amend the Police Department Rules and Regulations Manual based on current and best management practices. The proposed changes to the Police Department Rules and Regulations Manual are provided in Attachment B.
CONCLUSION
As requested, please approve a motion to schedule a public hearing on May 18, 2017 to amend the Police Department Rules and Regulations Manual.
