This item as requested by the Measure A Citizens’ Advisory Committee is a review of the Measures A and B portion of the General Fund budget for fiscal year 2016-17 as adopted by the City Council on June 21, 2016 and subsequent Council amendments for labor changes.
The Measure A Citizens’ Advisory Committee reviewed and discussed the City Manager’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2016-17 for the use of Measure A proceeds and presented its recommendation to the City Council.
On June 9, 2016, the Committee approved the proposed budget for Measures A and B while encouraging the City to review all processes and procedures necessary to increase the retention of police officers in implementing the Marshall Plan.
