Adopt a resolution certifying the names of Craig Hunter, Larry Rotert, and Xavier Ricci to the position of Fire Fighter Engineer, probationary status, effective September 16, 2016.

Discussion
The City Manager has approved the filling of these vacancies created by one promotion and two resignations within the Fire Department. Fire Chief Erik Newman requests that the names of Craig Hunter, Larry Rotert, and Xavier Ricci be certified for appointment to the position of Fire Fighter Engineer, probationary status, effective September 16, 2016. Candidates are being appointed in their relevant rank order according to their position on the eligibility list.
Authority
Rule VII, Section 5(c) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Police and Fire Employees. When an appointing authority desires to fill a promotional vacancy, the Commission shall certify the name at the top of the eligible list for that class, or, in the event of two (2) or more vacancies in one class, they shall certify the same number of names as the number of vacancies.
