Approve the reinstatement of Joseph Dollar to the position of Collection Systems Operator, regular status, effective December 16, 2015.

DISCUSSION

 

Mr. Dollar resigned in good standing as a Water/Sewer Equipment Operator in the Municipal Utilities Department on August 15, 2015.  On September 25, 2015, Mr. Dollar submitted a request to be reinstated as a Collections System Operator.  There is a current full-time vacancy in this classification in the Municipal Utilities Department and the City Manager has authorized filling this vacancy.

 

AUTHORITY

 

Rule VII, section 7(a) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees provides that a regular employee who has resigned in good standing may be reinstated to a vacant position of the same class within a period of two (2) years from the effective date of resignation.
