RECOMMENDATION
Pursuant to direction received from Mayor Fugazi on September 2, 2025, adopt a resolution removing Patricia Barrett and filling that vacancy by appointing Kristine Williams to serve on the seven-member Climate Action Plan Advisory Committee for a four-year term effective immediately and ending January 31, 2029.

Summary
On September 2, 2025 Mayor Fugazi requested the removal of Patricia Barrett from the Climate Action Plan Advisory Committee and the appointment of Kristine Williams for a four-year term effective immediately and ending on January 31, 2029.
DISCUSSION
Background
Council Policy 3.04.01 (c) states: A person appointed by the City Council to any Board, Commission or Committee (hereafter, "Commission") shall continue to serve as a member thereof except when The Councilmember responsible for appointing the seat has requested the member be removed in writing. Mayor Fugazi is responsible for all Climate Action Plan Advisory Committee appointments.
Present Situation
Mayor Fugazi is responsible for all Climate Action Plan Advisory Committee appointments and has requested the removal of Patricia Barrett. This would create a vacancy on the committee to be filled by Kristine Williams for a four-year term effective immediately and ending on January 31, 2029.
The Office of the City Clerk notified Patricia Barrett on September 4, 2025, that this item will be on the agenda for the Council Meeting of September 9, 2025.

This action will have no direct financial impact to the City.
