Summary
Staff and the community engagement partner Little Manila Rising (LMR) have undertaken engagement efforts, including collaboration with partnering organizations, community events attended, workshops held, neighborhood canvassing, emails, and phone calls.
DISCUSSION
Background
The development of the CCAP requires extensive community and stakeholder engagement to develop an actionable plan based on the needs and impacts on those who reside in the area.
Present Situation
From March through September 2025, the City of Stockton, through its technical consultant and community engagement partners have reached 1,650+ people across the Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Tracy, Lathrop, and the unincorporated County. These contacts have been made through events, engagements, door-to-door canvassing, crowd canvassing, social media posts and ad campaigns, City Council social media posts, ASK Stockton posts, 1:1 interactions, email blasts, flier drops, meetings and phone calls with key organizations, and 2 communitywide surveys. A community engagement outreach log has been included as attachment A for reference and specific detail.
City staff and the community engagement partner will provide an updated community engagement outreach log in December 2025 for October through December 2025 outreach activities. Forthcoming outreach includes but are not limited to, a postcard mailer to Stockton residents, additional social media ad campaign, a third survey, and continued collaboration with key organizations and community workshops. It should also be considered that we are unable to quantify some outreach efforts when collaborating with other community groups.
