It is recommended that the City Council, Successor Agency, Stockton Public Financing Authority, and Stockton Parking Authority adopt by motion the revised 2025 Concurrent City Council/Successor Agency/Stockton Public Financing Authority/Stockton Parking Authority Meeting Calendar.

DISCUSSION
Background
By Motion 2024-11-19-1216, the Stockton City Council approved the 2025 Concurrent City Council/Successor Agency/Stockton Public Financing Authority/Stockton Parking Authority Meeting Calendar. After its approval, staff was informed of a scheduling conflict regarding the January 28, 2025 meeting. A subsequent calendar amendment to address the January conflict was approved by Motion 2024-12-10-0608.
This second amendment to the 2025 meeting calendar is being proposed to address scheduling the Annual Strategic Planning Workshop.
Present Situation
Prior to 2020, the City contracted a third party outside facilitator to coordinate and host the Annual Planning Workshop. From 2020 through 2024, the City Manager’s Office led efforts to coordinate and facilitate the workshop each February. The previously approved 2025 meeting calendars held special meeting dates in February 2025 for the Annual Strategic Planning and Goal Setting Workshop.
Since coming on board in January, the Mayor and Council have asked staff to return to contracting with a third party to facilitate the workshop. In order to allow time for an appropriate procurement process, and coordinate with the potential facilitators schedule, the February special meeting dates are being removed from the calendar. In its place, an additional regular business meeting is being added on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
A procurement process, allowing the Councilmembers to select a facilitator, is underway.
Aside from removing the special meetings in February, and adding in a regular meeting on February 18, 2025, the calendar remains the same.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY
There is no direct financial impact to the City with this action.
