DISCUSSION

Background

CVLIHC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Stockton focused on expanding affordable housing and homelessness services in San Joaquin County. It serves extremely low-income individuals and families through housing programs such as permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing, homeless prevention, and related services. CVLIHC serves as the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Lead for San Joaquin. HMIS is the Homeless Management Information System - a federally-mandated database required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to track services and outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.  It collects demographic data, records what services clients receive, and measures the effectiveness of programs funded with federal and state homeless assistance dollars.
