RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt a resolution authorizing the appointment of Donald Tafoya to the Community Development Committee for a term commencing immediately, and expiring January 31, 2029.

Summary
There is currently a vacancy for the District 2 appointment on the Community Development Committee. Councilmember Ponce was provided with applications for his review and is nominating Donald Tafoya to be reappointed as the District 2 appointment.
DISCUSSION
Background
The Community Development Committee is a committee that provides the Council with recommendations on the planning and use of funds that the City receives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, including Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and Emergency Solutions Grant funds. As provided for in the Council-adopted Citizen’s Participation Plan, appointments to the Community Development Committee are made by each of the six Councilmembers and the Mayor. The only requirement to serve on the Committee is that the applicant must be a resident of the City of Stockton.
