DISCUSSION

 

Operating from New City Hall, the Community Development Department is comprised of three work groups: Building and Life Safety, Planning and Development Engineering, and Business Operations. These three work groups consist of 51 budgeted full-time employees.

 

Attached is the Annual Equal Employment Report which provides employment information for the Community Development Department regarding workforce composition, personnel changes, professional and diversity training, and recruitment efforts for the past year (Attachment A). This information includes, but isn’t limited to, current staffing levels, departmental ethnicity and gender demographics, and organizational recruitment outreach efforts.

 

AUTHORITY

 

Concurrent Civil Service/Equal Employment Commission Resolution No. CS 2021-12-16-0901 adopted on December 16, 2021, updates the format that Annual Equal Employment reports must be completed effective January 1, 2022.  In compliance with this resolution, all City departments shall submit their annual reports, as assigned, utilizing the adopted format.
