Summary
On May 18, 2026, City staff and the technical consultant provided an overview of the public comments received on the Comprehensive Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CCAAP). This discussion will serve as a follow-up to review the City’s response to each public comment on the CCAAP.
DISCUSSION
Background
CCAAP was open for public comment from March 21, 2026, to May 4, 2026. City staff received 170 comments on the plan during this period. The plan was advertised through numerous methods by Little Manila Rising including workshops, outreach event canvasing, and tabling in collaboration with different agencies and jurisdictions. Comments were received both online and via comment cards.
Present Situation
After a thorough review of the public comments, and in collaboration with the Mayor’s office, City staff, the technical consultant, and the community engagement partner, the City provided a response to each public comment. These responses have been categorized into 3 common groups, ‘Changes Adopted’, ‘Changes Not Recommended’, and ‘No Change Required’. The City’s responses to the public comments on the draft CCAAP will be reviewed and discussed with the Climate Action Plan Advisory Committee.
