Receive information related to the 2015 Grand Jury Report on unattended donation bins on private property and provide staff direction pertaining to the regulation therein.

Summary
In 2015, the San Joaquin County Civil Grand Jury recommended the City of Stockton adopt an ordinance to regulate unattended donation bins on private property.
The Community Development Department will introduce the item to the Legislative Committee at the July 17, 2024 meeting. With input and feedback from the Committee members, staff will provide an in-depth presentation in September 2024.
Staff is seeking policy direction from the Committee to draft unattended donation bin regulation(s).
