RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Measure M Strong Communities Oversight Committee adopt an annual meeting calendar for 2024.

DISCUSSION
In an effort to improve attendance for committee meetings and streamline administration of the meetings, a proposed calendar of future meeting dates has been developed for the upcoming fiscal year. Following discussion by committee members, the proposed schedule can be changed or adopted as presented. The recommended meeting dates are on Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. and are as follows:
• March 14, 2024
• June 13, 2024
• October 10, 2024
This schedule is subject to change. Change to this schedule may also occur in consideration of business needs, scheduling conflicts, and the need for special meetings. The committee has been meeting three to four times per year. If one of the quarterly meetings is not needed, it can be cancelled.
The City Clerk’s Office continues to recruit to fill committee vacancies to improve meeting attendance. Set meeting dates and times may help with member recruitment.
Included as Attachment A is a copy of the Measure M Strong Communities Oversight Committee Council Policy, Chapter 3.10. Section 11 of this policy covers meeting requirements. Additionally, the City Council Policy Manual includes committee member attendance requirements in Chapter 3.03, Attendance Policy For Appointees.
