REQUEST FOR REINSTATEMENT OF RON AQUINO TO THE POSITION OF SUPERVISING ACCOUNTANT, REGULAR STATUS

Approve by resolution the reinstatement of Ron Aquino to the position of Supervising Accountant, regular status.

DISCUSSION

 

Mr. Aquino voluntarily resigned in good standing as a Supervising Accountant in the Administrative Services Department on August 2, 2024. On May 9, 2025, Mr. Aquino submitted a request to be reinstated as a Supervising Accountant (Attachment A). There is a current full-time vacancy in this classification in the Administrative Services Department and the Interim Director of Human Resources has authorized filling this vacancy (Attachment B).

 

AUTHORITY

Rule VII, section 7(a) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees provides that a regular employee who has resigned in good standing may be reinstated to a vacant position of the same class within a period of two (2) years from the effective date.
