Summary

The Nonprofit Capacity Building Program (NCBP) was created in 2023 in partnership with the City of Stockton as a response to the challenges local nonprofits faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The nine-month program focuses on four pillars: Governance, Branding and Engagement, Revenue Structure, and Operational Infrastructure.

Over 50 nonprofits from Stockton and San Joaquin County have completed the nine-month program. With Cohort 4 set to launch in January 2026, NCBP remains a virtual framework for nonprofit resilience, and continued commitment to the program will ensure that future cohorts are equipped to meet evolving needs and drive community-wide impact.
