DISCUSSION
Background
City staff, the technical consultant (AECOM), and the community engagement partner (LMR) have worked collaboratively in the development of the Comprehensive Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. The project team has gathered greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data, obtained public feedback through multi-tier outreach, consulted and decided with the Climate Action Plan Advisory Committee and performed modeling and technical analysis to develop the draft CCAAP which will meet all requirements for both the Adaptation Planning Grant program (APGP) and the Climate Pollution Reduction grant (CPRG) program. The public review process is a necessary step to gather final input and feedback in finalizing the plan in preparation for presentation to City leadership prior to adoption.
Present Situation
The technical consultant AECOM will lead the discussion of a high-level overview of the structure, contents and analysis of the draft CCAAP including the public review process, timeline and schedule of events, workshops, outreach and implementation roadmaps.
