The committee has requested that staff provide Police Department hiring data for the following:
1. How many officers did we have at the time of the enaction of Measure A (2013)?
• 285 sworn police officers
2. How many do we have now?
• 297 sworn police officers as of 5/9/2025 out of 342 budgeted positions
3. What were the Police Officer vacancies each year (2013-2025)?
