REVIEW AND APPROVE 2026 STOCKTON ARTS GRANT PROGRAM AWARDEES

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Stockton Arts Commission approve a motion to the recommended Stockton Arts Grant Program awardees and amounts.

On August 4, 2025, the Stockton Arts Commission formed an ad hoc committee for the 2026 Stockton Arts Grant. This ad hoc committee is responsible for providing input into the application process, scoring received applications, and providing a recommendation to the full commission as appropriate.
On October 23, 2025, the 2026 Stockton Arts Grant was issued and received twenty-seven (27) applications submittals requesting more than $290,000 in grant funds. Staff reviewed all applications for eligibility and completeness. Twenty-four (24) applications were determined to be complete, met eligibility requirements, and were advanced to be reviewed and scored by the Stockton Arts Grant ad hoc committee.
The eleven (11) recommended awardees are offering a combination of new and existing programs that will support various forms of art within the City.
Upon approval of the recommendation, staff will contact the awardees to begin finalizing their contracts.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY
Sufficient funds are available in account number 5000-806-630019-100-125-50-50-000-000 to support the Stockton Arts Grant Program.
