Approve by resolution the reinstatement of Bryant Bowen to the position of Senior Maintenance Repair Technician, regular status.

DISCUSSION

 

Mr. Bowen voluntarily resigned in good standing as a Senior Maintenance Repair Technician in the Public Works Department on May 4, 2024. On October 1, 2024, Mr. Bowen submitted a request to be reinstated as a Senior Maintenance Repair Technician (Attachment A). There is a current full-time vacancy in this classification in the Public Works Department and the Director of Human Resources has authorized filling this vacancy (Attachment B).

 

AUTHORITY

 

Rule VII, section 7(a) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for Miscellaneous Employees provides that a regular employee who has resigned in good standing may be reinstated to a vacant position of the same class within a period of two (2) years from the effective date.
