DISCUSSION

Background

City Council Policy outlines that the City Council/Successor Agency/Stockton Public Financing Authority/Stockton Parking Authority meet regularly on Tuesday evenings to conduct business in the designated City Council Chamber.  An annual calendar is adopted each year, designating the meeting schedule.

Present Situation

The attached Meeting Calendar for 2025 (Attachment A) is consistent with the existing pattern established by the City Council scheduling two regular business meetings per month, when possible. In 2025, the months of February, May, July, August, and October are exceptions; February due to the City Council Strategic Planning Workshops, July and August due to summer recess; May and October due to Council conference schedules.

With Council concurrence, regular City Council meetings will be held on the following Tuesdays in 2025:

January 7

April 1

July 15

November 4

January 28

April 15

August 19

November 18

February 4

May 13

September 9

December 9

March 4

June 3

September 23

December 16

March 18

June 24

October 21

The attached 2025 Meeting Calendar represents regular meetings, planned special meetings for planning and budget development, holidays, and the adopted 9/80 work schedule.

This calendar is subject to change as the Council considers business needs, scheduling conflicts, or the need for additional special meetings or study sessions. Revisions may also occur based on any material changes brought about by agreements with bargaining units.
