BACKGROUND
The Commission received a copy of the initial proposal submitted by Vice Chair Michele J. Sherman at the Civil Service Commission meeting on August 20, 2026, and had an opportunity to discuss it in the context of the existing rules for the Commission, including Charter Article XXV, section 2502.
This is a continuation of this discussion. The Commission is receiving a copy of the formal proposal submitted by Chair Michele J. Sherman (Attachment), requesting City staff to provide it to the City Council for consideration.
