RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council approve a resolution appointing Gabriel Searcy as Interim City Clerk from November 7, 2026, through November 22, 2026, and appointing Allison Lambertson as Interim City Clerk effective November 23, 2026, until the vacancy is filled.

DISCUSSION
Interim City Clerk Bonnie Paige submitted her resignation, effective November 6, 2026. To ensure the continuity of essential City Clerk services, the City Council desires to appoint Gabriel Searcy as Interim City Clerk from November 7, 2026, through November 23, 2026, and Allison Lambertson as Interim City Clerk effective November 30, 2026, until a permanent City Clerk is appointed.
Upon completion of their respective acting assignments, Gabriel Searcy will return to his Supervising Deputy City Clerk/Operations classification, and Allison Lambertson will return to her Assistant City Clerk classification.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY
Compensation will be paid at the rate of ninety-three dollars and twelve cents ($93.12) per hour, to be paid according to the payroll schedule in place for City employees. There are sufficient funds available in the City Clerk’s budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27.
