body

Summary

Discussion regarding the Committee’s responsibility to prepare and submit an Annual Report to the City Council in accordance with the Measure A Citizens Advisory Committee Charter and By-Laws.

DISCUSSION

Background

The annual report is a required function of the Committee and serves as the primary mechanism for reporting Measure A revenues, expenditures, and compliance with voter-approved intent.

Present Situation

No submission may result in:

•                     Reduced transparency to the public and City Council

•                     Limited documentation of the Committee's oversight activities

•                     Potential erosion of public trust in Measure A governance

•                     Fulfillment of responsibilities outlined in the Committee’s governing documents.

Direction regarding preparation and submission of the Annual Report, including assignment to the Annual Report Subcommittee and establishment of a timeline for completion and presentation to the City Council.
