NOMINATION AND SELECTION OF MEASURE A CITIZENS’ ADVISORY COMMITTEE CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Measure A Citizens’ Advisory Committee elect by motion a Committee Chair and Vice Chair from among its membership in accordance with City of Stockton Measure Advisory Committee By-Laws Rule #5 (Attachment A).

Summary
In accordance with City of Stockton Measure Advisory Committee By-Laws Rule #5, the Advisory Committee shall annually elect a Chair, and a Vice-Chair who shall act as Chair only when the chair is absent. The Committee is now asked to make those elections for the next 12 months.
DISCUSSION
Because the Officer elections take place later in the meeting, the elected officers will not assume office until the following meeting. At the next meeting, the Chairperson will take the seat at the center of the dais.
