Staff last presented potential sites owned throughout the City on March 5,  
2026. During that meeting, multiple sites were reviewed based on size and  
proximity to transportation and other services. The property that seemed to  
have the most potential for greatest impact to families in need of stable  
transitional housing is located at 9602 Thorton Road. This property is just  
over five acres and is surrounded by residential and a gathering hall, all of  
which indicate that utilities are adjacent. Staff have continued to work on  
the next steps and will share current progress on what it will take to  
activate the site.
